For over 40 years, high school juniors and seniors have been coming to the Weizmann Institute for a month in the summer to participate in the Dr. Bessie F. Lawrence International Summer Science Institute. This year around 80 outstanding science students attended from 15 countries.
Along with research in Institute labs, the students enjoyed cultural evenings, sports competitions and trips to Jerusalem, Northern Israel and the desert area near the Dead Sea. Highlights included a meeting with Institute President Prof. Daniel Zajfman and a lecture by Nobel laureate Prof. Ada Yonath.
