Prof. Yosef Yarden

 

Prof. Yosef Yarden studies the family of hormones known as growth factors. His research focuses on their role in the development of cancer and the mechanisms underlying their biochemical activity. He received a Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute in 1985, and has served as Head of the Feinberg Graduate School?s Board of Biology and Dean of the Faculty of Biology. He currently heads the M.D. Moross Cancer Research Institute. A recipient of numerous awards, he has served as Secretary of the Federation of the Israel Society for Experimental Biology and is a member of both the European Molecular Biology Organization and the National Committee for Biotechnology. Prof. Yarden holds the Harold and Zelda Goldenberg Professorial Chair in Molecular Cell Biology.
