Prof. Zvi Artstein

 

Prof. Zvi Artstein is an expert in differential equations, control, and optimization. Though rooted in theoretical mathematics, these areas are applicable to diverse physical, industrial, and economic systems. He joined the Weizmann Institute in 1975 and was appointed Head of the Theoretical Mathematics Department in 1986. In 1989 he became Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science and served in this capacity until 1997. In January 1999 he was appointed Vice President for Technology Transfer. Prof. Artstein holds the Hettie Heineman Chair of Mathematics.
