Prof. Yair Reisner The Henry H. Drake Professor of Immunology

Using laboratory animals, Prof. Yair Reisner developed the concept of “megadose” bone marrow transplants.

 

The approach, developed further in collaboration with physicians from the University of Perugia, makes it possible to overcome rejection and perform transplants from mismatched donors.
