children and adults of all ages at the Science Festival

The Science Festival, which took place over the Passover holiday for the eighth year running, offered an exciting, vibrant science experience to children and adults of all ages wanting to indulge their scientific curiosity. In addition to the colorful collection of exhibits, workshops, demonstrations, activities and tours, new events were added this year. In the “Three-Minute Science” competition, held in conjunction with the British Council, students from the Feinberg Graduate School competed to give concise and captivating presentations on scientific topics. Another highlight was the talk entitled “Science in the Movies,” accompanied by film clips presented by the movie critic Yehuda Stav. “Small Is Beautiful” was the title of a panel discussion addressing nanotechnology – from nanoelectronics to nanobiotechnology. The festival was supported by the family of Ilse Katz and by Philip Garoon of Chicago.
