Gad Kober holds an LL.B. degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He completed his internship at the Supreme Court as well as at a leading Tel Aviv law firm, where he stayed on as an attorney.
After sustaining injuries during the Yom Kippur War, he studied at Tel Aviv University’s School of Business Administration. In 1975, together with a partner and several associates, he established a law firm that represented foreign companies investing in Israel.
He was appointed Director of one of his client’s New Ventures Division, and headed a large number of new companies around the world in fields ranging from medical electronics to desert agriculture. He later became a partner in a European firm specializing in project financing and loan syndication. Kober joined the Weizmann Institute in 1995 as Chief Legal Counsel and served in that capacity until being appointed to his current position.
