Prof. Yosef Yarden Dean, Feinberg Graduate School
 

Prof. Yosef Yarden, who completed his Ph.D. in molecular biology at the Weizmann Institute in 1985, studies the family of hormones known as growth factors. His research focuses on their role in the development of cancer and the mechanisms underlying their biochemical activity. Appointed Dean of the Feinberg Graduate School in December 2001, Yarden previously served as Head of the Feinberg Graduate School's Board of Biology, Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Vice President for Academic Affairs. A recipient of numerous awards, Prof. Yarden has served as Secretary of the Federation of the Israel Society for Experimental Biology and is a member of both the European Molecular Biology Organization and the National Committee for Biotechnology. Prof. Yarden holds the Harold and Zelda Goldenberg Professorial Chair in Molecular Cell Biology.
