Prof. Zvi Artstein

 

Prof. Zvi Artstein’s research concerns the mathematics of differential equations, control, and optimization - areas applicable to diverse physical, industrial, and economic systems. He joined the Weizmann Institute in 1975. In 1989 he became Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science and served in this capacity until 1997. In 1998, he was the Chair of the Council of Professors. From 1999 to 2002 Prof. Artstein served as Vice President for Technology Transfer. He assumed the position of Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science once again in 2005. Prof. Artstein holds the Hettie Heineman Chair of Mathematics.
