Yaakov Naan

 

Yaakov Naan completed a B.Sc. in electrical engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Tech-nology in 1966 and an M.Sc. in business administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1970. His accomplishments include planning high- and low-voltage electricity networks for the Israel Electric Corporation, Ltd., establishing and managing data and information processing units, and contributing to the introduction of computerized publishing in Israel. Since 1985, he has filled senior managerial positions at several major newspapers: He was Associate Director General of Ma'ariv, Deputy Director General of Yedioth Aharonot, and Associate Director General of Telegraph. He joined the Weizmann Institute in 1996.
