Prof. Zvi Artstein

Prof. Zvi Artstein is an expert in differential equations, control and optimization, areas that are applicable to various physical, industrial and economic systems.  He joined the Weizmann Institute in 1975 and was appointed head of the Department of Theoretical Mathematics in 1986. In 1989, he was nominated Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, and he served in this post until 1997. In January 1999, he was appointed Vice President for Technology Transfer. Prof. Zvi Artstein holds the Hettie H. Heineman Professorial Chair of Mathematics.
