Young people from all over the world who volunteer for the Red Cross, Red Crescent and Magen David Adom organizations were recently invited to visit the EcoSphere, located at the Clore Garden of Science. A total of 34 volunteers arrived from the Philippines, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Britain, Denmark, Uganda, Russia, Finland, Jordan, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Georgia and Israel to attend an educational seminar entitled “Toward a Better World,” which focused on environmental issues concerning global warming and natural disasters.
Included in the program was a guided tour of the EcoSphere and the Garden of Science, a lecture on waste management and recycling, and a chance for volunteers to recycle paper with their very own hands.
