The Road to Stockholm

Daniel Gabay from Kibbutz Metzer, a high school student at the Israel Arts and Science Academy (IASA), Jerusalem, won this year’s final thesis competition held by Young@Science. Daniel attended the 2007 Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar, arranged in conjunction with the Nobel Prize award ceremonies, where he was joined by other young science students. During the party that followed, he met with the Nobel Prize winners and also presented his thesis to young participants from all over the world.

 

Daniel’s thesis, “Efficiency of Algorithms in the Gaussian Plane and Study of a Dynamical Equation-Solving Algorithm,” was chosen from among 56 entries to the Israeli competition, now in its third year.
