Outstanding "Perach" tutors with Amos Carmeli (top, left). True devotion

“All the knowledge and abilities we possess are useless if we do not share them with the society in which we live,” said “Perach” tutorial project tutor Ofer Margalit, who was among 14 outstanding tutors to be awarded the Avraham Agmon Excellence Scholarship during a ceremony that took place recently at the Davidson Institute of Science Education. The other 13 outstanding tutors to whom the scholarship – now in its 20th year – was awarded were Michal Benbenisti, Polina Lee, Meital Miskowitz, Amal Abed Elhadi, Meital Emmanuel, Yaron Adler, Maxim Perlman, Olga Perlshtein, Oded Peretz, Shai Peretz, Elad Kopeberg, Daniel Kaski and Haya Schwartzer.

During his speech, Perach Director Amos Carmeli noted: “These wonderful stories, which are told with such modesty, do not even come close to describing the true extent of the tutors’ commitment and dedication.”  Weizmann Institute President Prof. Daniel Zajfman added that this unique project, which was established at the Institute and has touched the lives of over one million people, occupies a place of pride among the Institute’s educational activities.
