Prof. David Cahen received the Landau Prize for Science and Research in the area of alternative energy and was appointed the first Director of the Mary and Tom Beck-Canadian Center for Alternative Energy Research.

 

Prof. Uriel Feige was appointed Head of the Computer Science and Applied Mathematics Department.

Prof. Shafrira Goldwasser received the Athena Lecturer Award for Research that Advanced Secure Internet Transactions, from the Association for Computing Machinery.

 

Prof. David Harel received a Software System Award from the Association for Computing Machinery.

 

Prof. Moty Heiblum was elected a member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
