Science students in Applied Materials clean room
 

High school students participating in Young@Science's "Arrow" program -- a hands on program giving gifted science students a taste for research -- visiting the Applied Materials factory in the Kiryat Weizmann Science Park, Rehovot. They learned of the links between basic science, technology and business in the manufacture of electronic chips. The visit included a tour of one of the factory's clean rooms (pictured), where thay got a close-up look at the equiment used to check and supervise the production of these chips.
