לציון יום תחילת הקיץ -- היום הארוך בשנה -- יצא מפגש "אסטרונומיה לכולם" אל הים הפתוח, וקיים תצפית אסטרונומית מספינה שהפליגה בשעות הערב מחופי יפו. למרות מחלת הים שהטרידה את חלקם, נהנו המשתתפים מהאווירה המיוחדת, מהשקיעה המרהיבה, ומהצפייה בשמי הקיץ מזווית לא שגרתית, בלוויית הסברים אסטרונומיים וסיפורים על המקור המיתולוגי של שמות הכוכבים וקבוצות הכוכבים. כוכבים נוספים של הערב היו חבורת דולפינים, ששיחקו וקפצו לצד חרטום הספינה.
