The Weizmann Institute has begun the second half of its first century and, as they say: "All systems are go."

Supporters, donors, and members of the worldwide Weizmann Institute family can be proud of the part they have played over the years in ensuring a solid foundation upon which future generations will build as they continue to conduct cutting edge research.

There is no substitute for a visit to the campus to vividly and dramatically bring to life the Weizmann Institute and all of its great potential, but this Annual Report offers at last a glimpse of what is being accomplished. I hope that through it you will sense the excitement that pervades our institution about the scientific opportunities and challenges that still lie ahead.

As we have throughout the history of the Institute so do we now reaffirm our commitment to help present and future generations of scientists and leaders to continue the tradition.

It is a special privilege for me and my family to be a part of the Weizmann family. I am grateful for this privilege and for the support and encouragement provided by each of you.
